Many believe the move comes as Walmart attempts to increase its streaming video service, an offering which has failed to catch on with consumers. With video downloads and streaming growing every day, the move could set up Walmart and Vudu as a premier locations for users to view new content online.Colleges in the US are now accepting youtube videos along with applications. Tufts University, one of the university’s currently accepting youtube videos, noted that the medium allows admissions officers to get a better sense of who the applicant is as a person.
